In practice, it is a question of highlighting the most protruding parts of the face, such as the center of the forehead, the chin, the temples and the "cupid's bow (the central part of the lip), avoiding shading and" digging "other parts, as instead would require contouring.

How to strob in 4 simple steps

1. Spread a luminous cream all over your face to moisturize the skin (make sure, however, that there are no glitter effects)

3. Spread a veil of highlighter on some points of the face, chosen carefully. Above we have listed in detail all the points to be covered with the illuminant, but in reality, the plant of the light points changes a little from person to person, based on the characteristics and features of the face. Basically, you should not insist with the highlighter on the weak points: if, for example, you have a too pronounced nose or a protruding chin, you must not illuminate them.

4. To fix it then, use a face powder, better in loose and pearly powder because it emphasizes the brightness

Avoid a showy and charged make-up, which would contrast with the effect of freshness and brightness given by the strobing technique. Instead, go for light colors and limited doses. So no smoky eyes, lipsticks with strong tones and too dark blushes. Better the nude look effect.

When not to use strobing

When it's too hot: in these cases, in fact, the skin will already be shiny from sweat, adding additional brightness would certainly not be a winning move
If you have a lot of hairs on your face: the highlighter does nothing but emphasize them
If you have enlarged pores: even in these cases, the "highlighter would only make the situation worse. In fact, opaque products should be preferred to distract attention from the problem
If you have very oily skin: this in fact tends in itself to shine in a natural way, therefore it is certainly not the case to further illuminate it, on the contrary, it is better to intervene with matting finishes
If your face is too round. With strobing you can only enhance some points of the face, not reshape them, trying to hide flaws and imperfections.
