Sport: choose the right shoes according to your discipline!

Here are our tips for choosing the right shoes!

1. The discipline practiced

It is the most important and obvious criterion. Sports shoes are not all the same! Keep this in mind: you don't play tennis with running shoes and you don't go trekking with simple tennis shoes. Easy isn't it?

Here, for example, are the characteristics of some types of shoes:

2. Level and frequency

As part of your sporting specialty, the offer is truly vast, as are the prices. The second criterion concerns the level of sport practice. The shoes, in fact, must be of more or less good quality (especially as regards the materials).

To begin with, it is advisable to stay average, choosing a pair of shoes that have the characteristics necessary for the practice of the chosen sport. Sports shoes wear out easily: it is therefore better to change them often.

After that, it all depends on the frequency with which sport is practiced. The more frequent the practice, the greater it is the intensity, the better the quality of the shoes should be.

3. The feet

Once you have chosen a pair of shoes that are suitable for your sport and your way of practicing it, the last - but not least - criterion remains the comfort of the shoe, the way you put it on.

Shoes should neither be too tight nor too loose. The ideal is that there is the space of a finger between the big toe and the tip of the shoe. Furthermore, the footwear must be adapted to the shape of your foot.

The important thing is to feel comfortable and do not forget, from the moment of purchase, that these shoes will be used to jump, run, turn ...

Reminder: essential tips

- Choose shoes suitable for the discipline practiced, the level, intensity, frequency of training, comfort.

- Ask the clerks of a specialized shop for advice.

- Avoid models that are too basic, which do not offer all the qualities of protection and comfort to your feet.

- Try them for real: put on both shoes, wear sports socks, take a few steps and even try to move a little.

- Go step by step. If you are wearing a brand new pair of shoes, do not start with a 5-hour hike or a marathon!
