How to lose 15 kg: tips to do it

Losing 15 pounds is not easy. To do this you need a good and strong motivation and several months available to see the first results. When you are thinking of losing weight not just a few pounds, you need to be aware of having to change your eating habits and, probably, your lifestyle as well. Going on a diet is serious business and it is always best to seek expert advice before starting it.

Don't rush things

Are you 15 kilos overweight and want to lose them permanently? Say goodbye to fast diets, very strict diets, meals that leave you hungry or those phantom products that take away your appetite. Admittedly, when you want to lose weight, you need two things above all else: willpower and time.

To lose weight effectively, you will most likely need to change your eating habits.
Arm yourself with patience and perseverance. Do not rush. To lose 15 pounds, you will need at least 4-5 months, but it is possible to spread the weight loss over a longer period of time, the important thing is that the results remain and do not go up in smoke after a few weeks.

In fact, if you lose weight too quickly, it means that the diet is overly restrictive: it can make you tired, lead to serious food shortages and discouragement.

Common sense first of all

  • Avoid extravagant, "magical" or phony diets. While most of them are effective (at least in the short term), they don't teach you how to eat a balanced diet and you'll soon get back to your bad habits. By doing so, the annoying pounds lost will return.
  • Don't count calories and don't obsessively weigh food. Use common sense and learn to trust yourself.
  • Don't weigh yourself every day.
  • Eat a reasonable amount of everything.
  • Don't snack between meals, unless it's mid-morning or mid-afternoon snacks to break your hunger.
  • Stop drinking sugary and alcoholic drinks.
  • Distribute your food intake evenly throughout the day.
  • Don't skip meals.
  • Eat when you are really hungry. Learn to be aware even when you feel hunger: it is important to develop good eating habits.
  • Eat sitting at the table and without doing anything else (reading, consulting Facebook, watching TV ...).
  • Eat slowly and remember to be aware of what you are doing.
  • Stop eating if you are no longer hungry, even if your dish is not finished. Ideally, you should stop eating a bite before you are really full.

By following these simple tips, you will begin to feel better and not get frustrated with the concept of the diet. Hold on and believe in yourself: you are on the right path.

To help you lose 15 pounds

So here's what to do to lose 15 pounds:

Make a good breakfast. It will include coffee or tea, bread with jam or some foods containing fat or cereals and dairy products. Always pay attention to the ingredients present in the various foods, especially if it is cereals: they can hide sugars that interfere with your diet. If you prefer, you can opt for a yogurt or low-fat cheese with seasonal fruit and dried fruit: rich in vitamins, minerals and trace elements, it is the ideal way to start the day.

At noon, the meal will be normal in variety with modest quantities.

In the evening, eat preferably light.

Stabilization: a necessary step to be carried out with care

Once you have reached your desired weight, stick to the good habits you have developed over the past few months. In fact, following a diet does not only mean losing weight, but learning to eat correctly, knowing how to carefully balance the different foods without excluding the variety of foods.

Obviously, this meal plan varies from person to person and you may need the help of a dietician or nutritionist. In general, though, a diet that will provide you with a stable weight will be what you will need to continue to maintain your healthy weight.

Finally, it is a good habit to weigh yourself regularly, once a week. Better to do it in the morning as soon as you wake up and on an empty stomach. This weekly routine will help you regulate your diet.

What to eat?

As we have said, in order to lose weight in a healthy way, you must not exclude any type of food from your diet. For example, high-protein diets are dangerous if continued for several months because our body also needs other nutrients, including carbohydrates. Obviously, however, to lose weight it is necessary to follow a low-calorie diet. Below we have collected all the foods with low calories, perfect to be included in a diet without losing the taste!
