Oral sex? Anti treason

What is oral sex for? This question may seem a bit strange to you, but scientists have been wondering for years about the meaning of cunnilingus. Not having, from a strictly biological point of view, any reproductive purpose, on a scientific level it would be considered a useless practice.

Specifically, a group of scientists from Oakland University in Rochester tried to answer this question by conducting a targeted survey involving 243 heterosexual men (of American and German nationality) and the results of which were published in the journal Evolutionary Psychology.

Their theory - called sperm conservation theory - is based on two hypotheses: among men who engage in oral sex with their partner, those at the highest risk of "competition" are also the most likely to practice cunnilingus until they reach orgasm of one's partner (hypothesis 1) and those who ejaculate during vaginal intercourse transmit their semen when the female orgasm serves to preserve sperm (hypothesis 2).

The results of the experiment show that there is not enough evidence to support the theory of sperm retention but, apparently, practicing oral sex for your partner would serve to make her more sexually satisfied and, consequently, less willing to seek another partner. The biological value of oral sex would therefore lie in avoiding, or at least limiting the risk of betrayal.
