Betrayal: women forgive more
The data obtained from the investigation speak for themselves: 53% of the women interviewed said they were willing to forgive one or two betrayals, while on the male side, only 13% were available for reconciliation. In fact, it seems that the fairer sex considers infidelity as an acceptable "road accident" in a relationship, as long as you don't get to the third fling. The figure was confirmed by Susan Fermor, spokesperson for the Mr. Beckman group of dry cleaners, who stated that English women are willing to forgive their boyfriends / husbands, as long as the infidelities do not exceed the limit of 3, otherwise they will they say resolute in saying goodbye to their unfaithful partner.
Despite the different reactions of the two sexes, once the horns are discovered, there is a fact that brings together males and females: 89% of the interviewees are convinced that betrayal is the most difficult obstacle to overcome if you try to save a stable relationship. What then are the causes of these betrayals? Neglect, missing romance, or excessive time spent at work or with friends.
On the other hand, how do Italians behave in the face of this couple phenomenon? A 2009 survey, carried out by psychotherapist Willy Pasini, revealed that after the betrayal, the Italian couples with the possibility of reconciliation are 50%, while 37% prefer to say goodbye to their unfaithful partner. The remaining 13% said they were willing to forgive, but only after a well-deserved revenge.
