Favorite gift? By Louis Vuitton
For this beginning of 2012, leading the top list, drawn up by the magazine Hurun, of the favorite brands of the Chinese population is the historic French brand Louis Vuitton; his accessories seem to be the most welcome objects of all.
In second position, Cartier jewels and immediately after two other French luxury brands: Hermes and Chanel.
In eighth place Prada preferred by 4% of the sample of Chinese consumers who participated in the research, and in tenth instead Armani. We no longer find Gucci in the ranking, which last year was in fourth position.
The research not only shows how the Chinese have refined their tastes in recent years, favoring historical and refined brands, but how it is increasingly smart for the luxury sector to focus on Asian markets.
