Elisa Girotto was 40 years old and a one year old daughter, Anna. The day Anna saw the light, August 21, 2016, Elisa was diagnosed with breast cancer, a triple negative breast cancer that proved more stubborn than chemotherapy and the 4 surgeries. Breast cancer affects one woman out of 8 and that is why, year after year, prevention has taken on an increasingly fundamental role in our daily life.
Elisa's story cannot leave you indifferent. Originally from Treviso, she discovers that she has a particularly aggressive cancer, a cancer that decides not to stop and to invade the lung and liver. She works in a bank, has a life she likes, has a partner she adores. When he realizes that the tumor has no intention of moving back, he hastens the wedding date, they should have married in September of this year but were forced to anticipate everything in August, aware that September would have been an exaggeratedly optimistic destination.
