An abandoned dog that has regained trust in man and happiness
Walter tells us the story of Ares, his very happy four-legged friend. But Ares wasn't always this happy and healthy.
Here is his moving story: Walter was spending his holidays with his family, in the beautiful Puglia and right in the campsite where he was staying, he met Ares. He was a very thin and hungry dog, so hungry that he was constantly rummaging in garbage pails. Pitying, Walter, he immediately took Ares under his protective wing and looked after him as best he could. And who among us would not have done the same? After all, dogs are man's best friends, as well as being active and super fun!
A dog abandoned by those who should have loved him unconditionally
Walter immediately took the abandoned little one to heart and began to get information about the poor little dog. The dog had been abandoned when he was about 8 months old by a family who had tied him to a pole on the beach and had lived as a stray for a year: always sad and lonely. He always wandered around the same beach, surely in the hope that those who had abandoned him would come back to pick him up ...

Thus, Walter and his family made the decision to adopt and bring Ares with them, to give him back everything that abandonment had taken away from him: a peaceful life and a lot of love. But it was not at all easy: the return journey, in fact, it was a nightmare as Walter recounts. During a stop at a motorway restaurant, Ares ran away several times: he still did not trust his new family! family cared with love and devotion. Ares, after 11 months, became much less suspicious and realized that his new family would never harm him. Ares is healed and is finally peaceful, but not all abandoned children are so lucky.

What to do if you find an abandoned dog
