The care of clothes
Wash
- Respect the instructions of the washing machine and what is written on the label of the clothes.
- Respect the washing temperature indicated on the label. If the clothes are very dirty do not increase the temperature of the cycle but use a stain remover before washing.
- Do not mix light colors and dark colors.
- New colored clothes need to be washed separately the first time.
- Always check that the pockets of your clothes are empty before putting them in the washing machine and close the zips and velcro closures.
- Do not overload the washing machine, the clothes will come out more wrinkled and you will have to iron them longer.
- Turn colored clothes, jeans, sweaters and printed t-shirts upside down before putting them in the washing machine.
- To find out if a dress will fade in contact with a stain remover, give it a try: pour a drop of stain remover on a hidden damp area. Then place it between two white pieces of fabric and iron with a hot iron. If no trace appears it means that the color holds well and will not come off during washing.
- To protect your underwear, socks and tights, put them in a pillowcase before washing them.
- Do not overdo the detergent. A lot of detergent does not mean a better wash and the surplus can remain between the clothes.
Spin and dry
- Select a low spin, at 800 rpm, for example, less aggressive on clothes.
- If you wash by hand, soak up the excess water in your clothes with a towel. So "there will be no need to squeeze them.
- After washing, do not leave your clothes in the washing machine for a long time: unnecessary creases are formed. As soon as you finish the program, take them out.
- It is better to avoid using the dryer and to dry wool and cotton garments in the open air and even, to prevent them from shrinking.
- If you dry your clothes in the open air, avoid exposing them directly to the sun to keep them bright colors. Use good quality hangers, preferably wooden, which do not rust.
- Iron your clothes inside out, to prevent them from shining and to preserve their color.
- Iron according to the temperatures indicated on the label. If you need to iron at a low temperature (110 ° C), avoid using steam.
- Fold the trousers respecting the crease and not following the seams, as is done for jeans.
