Underwear and Italian: briefs or thongs?

Italians and underwear: this is a new research by Gfk Eurisko for eBay.it, which investigated the habits of Italians in terms of underwear.

75% of the interviewees (men and women) stressed the importance of underwear, a very important element to always feel at ease.

The lower part preferred by the fair sex is the slip, worn by 70% of the interviewees, while 11% are thong-addicted, while 5% love the more retro culottes.

Then the arduous dilemma: coordinated bra and panties yes or no? For half of the Italian women it seems obvious that everything is well matched (54%), especially for the age group between 25 and 34 years.

But who are women inspired by when it comes to lingerie? Nicole Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut, with her transparent white tank top and high-leg briefs; Bridget Jones (20%) proud of her comfortable and slimming knickers; only in third place the sexy Demi Moore in Striptease with 11%.

What about men instead? Even for them the briefs are the most comfortable garment, at least for 55% of the interviewees; 22% have a preference for boxers, both in their more classic form and in the trunks version. And what is their model? Tom Cruise in Risky Business (27%), Will Smith in Ior Robot (26%) and the colored briefs of the criminals of Gomorrah (22%).
