It is therefore not surprising that some things considered illegal in Italy and in Europe, overseas, are instead normal or in any case accepted and permitted. Which? These 10, for example.

1 - Buy hormones

Some, like dhea, are even sold in supermarkets, others like GH, better known as growth hormone, are prescribed as a tonic. In Italy their sale is also prohibited in pharmacies.

2 - Incandescent bulbs

On 1 September 2012, the European Union definitively exited the market for incandescent light bulbs invented by Thomas Edison, for economic and environmental reasons. 3 - Plastic bags

They have been banned for some time in European countries, including Italy, which has abandoned them in favor of new (and less resistant ...) biodegradable and compostable bags. 4 - Topless in public

Strange, but true, in New York, going around bare-chested is not prohibited on the street and in public places. In private ones, on the other hand, such as clubs or shops, it is the owners who decide on the nudity of the customers.

5 - Call your child Spiderman or Wonderwoman

6 - Building a "weapon

We know well that the US is more permissive when it comes to firearms. But not only is it possible to buy them without great difficulty, but it is also possible to 3D print them, as demonstrated by the case of the Liberator pistol of the Defense Distributor.

8 - Owning a flamethrower

40 out of 50 states in the United States have no restrictions on this and there is no federal law prohibiting the possession of flamethrowers.

9 - Have a tiger for a pet

But also a snake, an African lion or an alligator. In the US, each state has its own rules on the issue: some prohibit them, others require a "possession" license. Then there are Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, North and South Carolina, West Virginia and Wisconsin where anyone can use their garden and home as a personal zoo.

10 - Artificially colored drinks

That is, based on bromarute vegetable oil, which can cause neurological disorders and thyroid disorders, as well as schizophrenia and growth problems. This substance is strictly prohibited throughout Europe and Japan, but not in the USA.
