So let's find out together how this professional treatment is born and how it works, if it is truly painless, where to buy the kit for a do-it-yourself waxing and what are its advantages, costs and duration. And if you want to try a different type, here's how to do an Arab wax:
How is professional Brazilian wax born?
Brazilian waxing was launched in 1987 by a renowned beauty center in New York, the J. Sisters International SPA. It was invented by the Brazilian sisters Padilha who encouraged their customers to try it: the treatment was so appreciated that it spread like wildfire first in the United States and then throughout the world.
In Italy it has only taken hold in more recent times, after the great publicity that has also been made by Hollywood stars for the advantages it entails: a completely smooth skin obtained with relatively little pain.

The specific characteristic of Brazilian wax is to provide for the total removal of hair from the groin. After this treatment, in fact, the entire groin area will be completely hairless, giving a feeling of freedom, freshness and hygiene.
It may seem like a rather painful treatment, but it is not: if done professionally and with suitable products, it can be even less painful than a traditional waxing. To make it a special wax is used, made with a mixture of sugar, water and lemon, and for this reason called "sugar paste". Not a real wax, therefore, but a kind of resin that does not need to be hot or cold for application. For an area as sensitive as that of the groin, this is only an advantage!
The sugar paste is spread with the hands on the hair, until it forms a thin film. To remove the hair, the paste is pulled while keeping the skin taut, so as to reduce the sensation of pain and subsequent redness as much as possible. No strips are used. Of course, a little discomfort immediately afterwards will be inevitable, but nothing unbearable, especially after the first few times it is carried out (inevitably more painful): the red dots - more or less large - that will form, will go away within a few hours and depend a lot on the individual skin sensitivity. However, it is better to always use a soothing product.
The Brazilian wax, although specific for the groin area, can actually also be made in other areas, again thanks to the use of sugar paste.
Duration, costs and benefits of Brazilian waxing
The advantages of Brazilian wax over traditional wax are numerous, although the duration of the treatment is in fact the same. The regrowth in fact varies a lot from woman to woman, but is between 10 days and 4 weeks, while the costs are around 10 euros for the bikini area: rather cheap, therefore.
The reasons for preferring it are first of all the reduction of pain, thanks to a much more delicate "pulling" technique than tearing with the classic wax strips. As a result, less redness and irritation occur, such as the onset of folliculitis.
The ingrown hair does not grow back thicker and more resistant, as happens for example with the razor, and the use of sugar paste is less invasive and annoying. Finally, many of us choose it, above all for the feeling of cleanliness and freshness that makes them feel. more comfortable, especially if they have to wear a rather skimpy bathing suit or underwear.

Black Brazilian wax: what it is and where to buy it
A particular type of Brazilian wax that is very fashionable lately is the black one. It is a product based on natural wax or resin, also to be spread directly on the area you want to epilate. At that point the product is left to dry and, after a few minutes, a real dark film is created.
Once the film has dried, it must be removed with your hands, with a quick and easy gesture. The black color helps to better delimit the area affected by epilation, so as not to leave even a hair out. Where to buy it? It is "a product that is very popular online and there are several brands that sell directly from their site, you just need a quick search on the net, we found on Amazon the kit with professional electric wax heater, 4 packs of wax and 10 spatulas in wood for just over € 20
DIY Brazilian wax kits are readily available on the market. They always contain the specific compound to be used, as we have seen, without strips, and generally also a wax heater (to be able to use it at a warm temperature) and a spatula to be able to spread it on the affected area. Some kits also have an emollient oil to avoid irritation and at the same time eliminate the last residues, such as ginger and macadamia, or aloe vera.
Before rolling out the dough, it is always good to wash the affected area: take a hot shower and eliminate any sweat or impurities. If the hairs are very long, shorten them a little first with scissors. After shaving the groin area, it is better to wear cotton panties that are not too tight, so that the skin can breathe and not get irritated.
On Amazon you can find a pack of 6 cotton briefs in a special offer!
