Oily hair: the best remedies to space out washes as much as possible
Oily hair is a rather common problem and in some ways quite annoying. The hateful feeling of stickiness is not in fact a simple appearance, but the result of an excess of sebum produced which is deposited on the hair and scalp.
Fortunately, there are several remedies to stem the problem, first of all a correct cleansing. Washing your hair may seem like a trivial gesture of our daily life, but doing it right is already a good starting point. In this video we explain how to do it.
The most effective grandmother's remedies for oily hair
A mistake that is often made when you have oily hair is to wash it too often. Most cleansers are formulated with rather aggressive ingredients that, by eliminating all the fat from the scalp, force the sebaceous glands to boost sebum production, so the situation gets worse instead of improving.
One of the classic grandmother's remedies, handed down to the present day, is to use lemon and vinegar during the washing of greasy hair, and in particular in the rinsing phase, the combination of which seems to be effective in removing excess sebum without to attack. You won't be forced to rewash your hair the next day!

Henna powder is also an old remedy used for oily hair. It not only helps reduce sebum production, but also makes hair shinier.
Try mixing 3 teaspoons of henna powder - you can find it in herbal medicine - in a glass of water, until a paste forms. Apply it to your hair and scalp and let it dry before rinsing off with warm water.
Finally, another practical tip to better take care of your hair and prevent it from getting dirty immediately after washing is to not brush it too much. Repeated brushing encourages the sebum to spread through the hair, quickly leaving it greasy and dirty.

Shampoos to use if you have oily hair
Returning to the starting point, we would like to emphasize that at the basis of good hair care (of all types) there is the choice of the right products.
If you have hair that tends to get dirty easily and a scalp that produces abundant sebum, it is important to periodically check the pH of the shampoo you use. In particular, oily hair needs a more alkaline shampoo than normal hair. All shampoos with a pH greater than 6.7 will therefore be perfect for your hair.
Here are some specially designed for oily or greasy hair.
