12 million Italians suffer from insomnia
Recent statistics tell us that 12 million Italians suffer from insomnia, or 10% of the population: a figure that, if not alarming, is still quite significant and to be kept under control. It seems that the problems related to sleep manifest themselves with 80 different pathologies, many of which are unknown to most. The most common are hypersomnia, which occur when a person sleeps too much or falls asleep during the day. Then there are parasomnia, better known as sleepwalking, which affect 3-4% of the infant population.
