What if you are a woman and you walk the streets of New York alone? You can receive up to 100 verbal abuse
Hollaback! is an American movement that aims to put an end to the harassment that women are forced to receive every day on the street. Just to show this phenomenon to the world, they decided to carry out an experiment, showing through a video what women have to undergo every day. Rob Bliss, curator of the video, hid a camera in his backpack and filmed his girlfriend, Shosana B. Roberts, walking the streets of New York (but it would happen in most cities of the world) for ten hours.
Loading ...The result? As many as 100 verbal harassment. From those who walk beside her trying to make conversation, to those who shout at her in appreciation up to those who scold her because Shosana does not respond positively to their approaches. This video proves that this kind of thing should NOT be accepted as normal and tolerable behavior.
