They paraded in lingerie in response to Victoria's Secret to celebrate the beauty of all bodies
On Saturday 2 December, thousands of tourists and New Yorkers were able to attend a very special show in the center of the famous Times Square. Women in lingerie paraded in the streets to promote the Body Positive movement and the beauty of each body. The organizer of the event was the beautiful KhrystyAna, a curvy model and activist for female diversity, who called the show The Real Catwalk (in Italian, "the real catwalk") and also promoted it on social networks with a hashtag.
"This Saturday, around 2-2: 30pm, plenty of fighting volunteers will take part in a lingerie show in the middle of Times Square. These women will parade for ALL women, to reinforce one standard of beauty: BEING YOU. SAME. Because being YOU is the definition of beauty, "KhrystyAna writes on her Instagram profile. And, in fact, different women were present at the show, without any prevailing beauty canon: "Some women are curvy, others are small, some have a well-trained physique, others have never exercised. Women of different cultures, of different colors There will be transgender women, women of different ages and different sexual orientations, perfectly made up or without make-up, with shaved or natural legs, vegan and carnivorous. All walks of life are welcome, without any discrimination! Come and assist and be inspired to love your body as it "is, whatever your life path." The parade soon attracted the attention of many passersby and photographers, who were able to immortalize this unique event.
