New zodiac signs: what they are and what their meaning is
The Horoscope tries to reveal our fate in terms of health, work and love, while the studies of astrology focus on outlining the personality of each one, with its own strengths, defects and affinities in relationships. Both are based on theories regarding the zodiac signs. However, all our certainties in this sense could collapse. In fact, NASA led by Dwayne Brown have shown that there are changes at the level of the constellations and that, therefore, there would be new zodiac signs.
Today we will find out in detail what it is, but first, however, let's quickly review the main characteristics of each sign:
The traditional zodiac signs
The theories and studies on the zodiac signs have very ancient origins. They date back to the time of the Babylonians, where their knowledge was essentially based on the naked eye observation of the sky and its constellations. Let's quickly review the traditional subdivision of the signs of the Zodiac with their respective dates:
Aries: March 21 to April 20
Taurus: April 21 to May 20
Gemini: May 21 to June 21
Cancer: June 22 to July 22
Leo: from July 23 to August 23
Virgo: from August 24 to September 22
Libra: September 23 to October 22
Scorpio: October 23 to November 22
Sagittarius: November 23 to December 21
Capricorn: December 22 to January 20
Aquarius: from January 21 to February 19
Pisces: February 20 to March 20
Over the years, each of these signs have been attributed characteristics and personalities in which we now recognize ourselves with a certain frequency: the Virgo natives are orderly and precise, the Capricorns stubborn and introverted, the Cancers romantic and melancholic, the Leos energetic and determined. . But what if all of this is wrong? The latest research from NASA seems to really mess up the cards on the table.

The certainties of all astrology and horoscope enthusiasts could fail in a moment according to what NASA says. In fact, the government agency of the US space program argues that today's zodiac signs are wrong for two reasons. The first is the displacement of constellations over the years. Given the "gravitational pull, the Sun and Moon have caused a" oscillation of the Earth and thus a change in the positions of each constellation would have occurred, but that is not all.
The Babylonians themselves had seen during their observations a thirteenth constellation of the Zodiac, which, however, they had decided not to include in the calendar to have an even number, 12 precisely, as the basis for the rational and geometric subdivision of the cosmos. an excluded sign is called Ophiuchus and its denial from the zodiacal calendar has already made it an object of charm and mystery.
Regarding what could be a genuine upheaval in the world of astrology, NASA spokesman Dwayne Brown said: “We haven't changed any zodiac signs, we just remade the cones. The Space Planet article talked about how astrology is not astronomy, but rather, it is a legacy of ancient history ".
Ophiuchus, the thirteenth sign of the Zodiac
In reality, the modern discovery of Ophiuchus does not date back to these years. The first to talk about it was the astrologer Stephen Schmidt in 1970, who built a zodiac calendar based on 14 zodiac signs, of which, in fact, two new ones. One was Ophiuchus and the other Whale, promptly excluded by the most purists of astrology. because its constellation is not crossed by the ecliptic, that is the apparent path of the Sun on the celestial sphere. Later, in 1995, Walter Berg and Mark Yazaki proposed a Zodiac with 13 signs, thus including only Ophiuchus as a newcomer and their zodiac system found a lot of success in Japan.
The name Ophiuchus derives from the Latin Ophiuchus, which literally means "He who dominates the serpent". In fact, the its constellation represents a man holding a large snake in his hands, an animal that takes on a decidedly positive value in oriental culture. Unlike the traditional zodiac signs, divided into Fire, Earth, Air and Water, Ophiuchus is not associated with any natural element. His period of influence would be from November 29 to December 18, preceded by Scorpio and followed by Sagittarius.
According to these studies, the natives of Ophiuchus would show a particular combination of the main characteristics of Scorpio and Sagittarius. They have an introverted and meditative character in many respects, typical of the sign of "Water, but, in the same way, they are positive and eager to help others, a quality intrinsic to the sign of Fire. Those belonging to this sign would thus be wise people, philanthropists and fighters for the defense of the values and rights of others.
