The benefits of the scrub to keep your tan longer!

If you are among those who think that scrubs and scrubs take away the tan we recommend you to read this article because not only is this belief wrong, but it is exactly the opposite!

And if in addition to an enviable tan, you want to take advantage of the holidays to take better care of yourself at 360 degrees, watch this video with the foods that must not be missing in your diet to be beautiful inside and out.

Scrub: what it is and what it is for

The scrub is a light abrasion that removes the superficial layers of the epidermis, the so-called dead cells. It is a mechanical process that serves to increase cell turnover, that is to help the reproduction of the epidermis and the renewal of tissues while stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin.

Although the use of the exfoliants varies from person to person, based on the "age and the type of skin, experts advise, especially after 40 years old, to insert the scrub in the weekly beauty routine because the skin turn-over slows down and the epidermal cells are less compact due to less collagen production. Helping them does nothing but delay theaging!

Scrub and tan: friends for the skin

We now come to the thorny point, that is to the widespread belief according to which the scrub together with the dead cells also takes away the much coveted tan.

False! Not only will the tan be brighter after the scrub, but also more uniform and lasting. This is because eliminating dead cells slows down desquamation and the color is distributed evenly on the epidermis, without creating darker spots (unless they are spots due to hormonal imbalances or taking drugs).

Even on vacation, therefore, do not lose the habit of scrub face and body; the tan will benefit and you can show it off for a long time!

Scrub: which one to choose?

What is the scrub made with? Trivially, if you are by the sea, you can take advantage of the sand itself! But if you want to be a little more professional

you can choose whether to pack your scrubbing product yourself or buy ready-to-use ones.

Remember that while on the body you can enhance the effect of the scrub massaging vigorously and insisting on rough parts, on the delicate skin of the face it is good to massage gently with circular movements on the previously moistened skin and leaving out the periocular area.

Do it yourself scrub

A great recipe for a cheap homemade scrub is to pour a few tablespoons of rice starch, especially useful for the sensitive skin, then add sweet almond oil and a spoonful of sugar.

Another great ingredient to use for a DIY scrub is bicarbonate. The fine, impalpable powder of baking soda can be especially valuable for the face. Dilute it in half a jar of yogurt, antibacterial and highly moisturizing, then add a few drops of lemon, orange or pomegranate, powerful antioxidant.

Ready-to-use scrubs!

However, if you prefer something ready and designed specifically for every skin need - oily, dry, sensitive or combination - on the market you will find excellent products, with comfortable textures and truly inviting fragrances. These are our favorites!
