An all-female team is ready to set sail for the Volvo Ocean Race
14 women, 12 sailors, 11 states, 1 sailboat: these are the numbers that distinguish the all-female team that will participate in the Volvo Ocean Race, one of the most important and toughest races in the world.
The team, which will represent SCA, the leading brand of products for the care of women's hygiene, will be composed of 14 elements including 12 sailors, a meteorologist and a reporter. The team will be followed by Richard Brisius, co-founder of Atlant Ocean Racing, with a successful past in the Volvo Ocean Race.
SCA has decided to support a team made up only of women to support the enhancement of women and to offer them a series of products and the best solutions for hygiene. Thanks to SCA, in fact, the 12 women of the Team will have the opportunity unique to participate in a competition normally reserved for men only.
The 12 sailors were selected in order to create a team with a very high technical and professional profile, able to cooperate to achieve common goals with a clear and shared tactic, just as happens in the best companies.
The regatta, which started on 4 October, will cover 71.745 kilometers, touching 11 cities in as many states. The Volvo Ocean Race will end on June 27, 2015 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
We just have to do a huge luck to this all-female team.
