How do women experience their lunch break? Here are the results of the research

There are those who prefer the classic schiscetta and those who do not give up on lunch out. There are those who carve out an hour for themselves and run away to gyms, those who allow themselves a few minutes to chat with friends and those who allow themselves a few minutes of relaxation, perhaps with a manicure.

According to the research carried out by Doxa Duepuntozero for McDonald's, carried out on 1,000 women between the ages of 18 and 54, for "86% of women, the lunch break is the real thing"25th now"of the day: it is not just the interval in which to have lunch and recharge, but sixty minutes full of possibilities to make the most of.

Three different types of women emerged from the research:

  • The woman who ... "work first of all!" (45%) - Young and childless, her career ranks first. She gives herself a quick break in front of the PC and is always connected.
  • The multitasking woman (30%) - Married and with children aged 14 and over, A "selfless" woman who puts others before herself and takes advantage of the time of her lunch break to do the shopping, go home whenever possible , organize children's commitments.
  • The woman who does not give up on herself (25%) - Between 35 and 44 years old, with small children. He has a career started, tries to juggle work, family and interests and takes advantage of the lunch break by carving out a moment all for himself: he goes to the hairdresser, goes shopping, goes to the gym.

The lunch break is also a moment to share with close friends and colleagues, but also with distant ones: 41% of Italians speak on the phone during lunch and 56% surf the internet and social networks.

Obviously women do not neglect their appearance and 33% use their lunch break to go to the gym. Of the women who do it, almost half - 45% - declare that they do not have other moments available during the day; and for reasons of time, in fact, he has lunch with a sandwich, a bar or a snack. 24% eat a plate of pasta but the percentage of those who would do it if they had the time rises to 32%.
