Venice Film Festival: here are the expected films and stars
From August 27 to September 6, the Venice Film Festival returns, now in its 71st edition. As always, the program of films is very rich and interesting, and will keep the various juries engaged, including the one for the films in competition chaired by Alexandre Desplat, musician and author of the most important soundtracks of recent years.

Iñárritu, director of 21 grams And Babel, which presents Birdman (or The unpredictable virtues of ignorance) starring Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, and there is a bet that the all-star cast could be entirely present on the red carpet of the opening night.

The first is The fabulous young man, by Mario Martone, with Elio Germano in the part of a young Giacomo Leopardi, with Michele Riondino, Isabella Ragonese and Anna Mouglalis. On the red carpet and star expected side, the films in competition seem to promise Al Pacino, star of Manglehorn, Ethan Hawke and January Jones, actors in Good kill by Andrew Niccol, the Spiderman Andrew Garfield, star of 99 Homes, and the trio of French stars Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Deneuve's daughter, Chiara Mastroianni, protagonists of 3 Coeurs by Benoit Jacquot.
Among the films in the Horizons section, Milla Jovovich could accompany the film Cymbeline, by Michael Almereyda, Pierfrancesco Favino is instead the protagonist of Without any mercy by Michele Alhaique, while Isabella Ferrari is the protagonist of The obscene life, by Renato De Maria. Among the curiosities, the scandal writer Michel Houellebecq, who scripts and stars in Near death experience.
© webEven the films out of competition are all to be enjoyed, such as She "s funny that way, the return to directing by Peter Bogdanovich with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. And then again: Olive Kitteridge, HBO miniseries presented in full in Venice, starring Frances McDormand, Joe Dante's return to directing with Burying the ex, James Franco with his new film as director and protagonist, The sound and the fury, the documentary One day as Italians by Gabriele Salvatores and the film by Sabina Guzzanti Negotiation, on the State-Mafia negotiation at the time of the massacres that killed Falcone and Borsellino.
