World Sexual Health Day is celebrated on 4 September

Sexual health is a state of social, physical, mental and emotional well-being linked to sexuality. It is not just the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity. Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasant and safe physical experiences, free from coercion, discrimination and violence. For good sexual health to be maintained, the sexual rights of the person must be respected, protected and fully fulfilled.

This is the definition that the World Health Organization gives in terms of sexual health.

And this theme, often overlooked, will be the focus of September 4th, the day in which safe sex will be celebrated and the need to have protected sex will be discussed to avoid diseases such as HPV, HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhea.

On 4 September there will be initiatives organized locally by the various countries and aimed at making people understand what is necessary to live one's sexuality in a joyful, but also safe way from the point of view of health.
