Fiammetta Cicogna runner for charity
The TV presenter and sports enthusiast Fiammetta Cicogna is the female ambassador of the Wings for Life World Run, the first and only simultaneous race in the world that will see runners from all over the world run together in support of research on spinal cord injury.
In fact, on May 4th Fiammetta will be in Verona, chosen as the location of the Italian race, alongside Giovanni Storti, of the popular trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, and Giorgio Calcaterra, two times world champion in the 100 km ultramarathon, in turn ambassadors and supporters. of the event. Standard bearer of solidarity, Fiammetta will race together with the thousands of runners who will escape from the catcher car in the 35 races organized around the world by Wings for Life Foundation, which for ten years has been raising money to finance research on spinal cord injuries. The Wings for Life World Run has in fact an innovative elimination mechanism: the winner will not be the first to reach the finish line, but the last to be overtaken by the car that will start chasing the runners after half an hour from the start.
"The key word to describe my role as Italian ambassador of the Wings for Life World Run is passion", declares Fiammetta, who continues: "passion for running, passion for nature, passion for challenges and the desire to dominate and overcome them. . The World Run is a unique race where runners from all over the world come together and run for those who can't. The motivation is strong and valid, to support the Wings for Life Foundation, and the opportunity is perfect to free your mind and treat yourself to a day of sport and solidarity, in a wonderful context that starts from Verona and crosses Valpolicella and the hills on Lake Garda! ".
And Fiammetta has always been an adventurous soul and a lover of sport; this year, for example, it will conduct, for the fifth consecutive edition, Wild - Overseas, the Italia 1 program that made it known to the general public.
