Claudio Abbado died
Claudio Abbado, one of the most famous orchestra conductors in the world and life senator since August 30th, died at the age of 80. The man passed away this morning at 8.30 am, surrounded by the affection of his family. Abbado had been ill for some time.
Milanese by birth, Abbado one of the most illustrious conductors in the world, former musical director of La Scala, of the Vienna State Opera and artistic director of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
