The term was born in the 1940s and was intended to describe lower-middle-class Caucasian boys who wanted to emulate the great African American jazz musicians and their lifestyle.

The hipster of today, on the other hand, is recognizable thanks to the combinations of retro taste and high-tech accessories: the rusty bicycle and the latest generation iPhone, the vegetarian shopping in organic shops and the fake casual look.

But, beyond the definitions, how do you recognize real hipsters? Here are 10 details that don't lie!

1 - Go shopping in vintage stores

For women, in particular, vintage dresses with lace and floral motifs are perfect; the grandmother's closet in this case is the treasure island. For men, green light to check shirts, suspenders and spartan shoes.
