Batmobile sold at auction
The cars used for the various films since then have been a total of six (between TV series and sequels) which have gradually been transformed into increasingly futuristic and cool models.
Barris himself put it up for auction, while the proud new owner, whose name is unknown, seems to be planning to incorporate the car into his living room.
The only other car that had nearly reached a similar selling price was the very famous Aston Martin DB5 driven by Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger.
