Amnesty International: body art in favor of women's rights

They are images with a strong impact, which shed the spotlight on different forms of violence, injustice or repression which unfortunately are victims of women all over the world. Amnesty International asked the young and talented Japanese artist Hikaru Cho to create a body series art for the worldwide campaign called "My body, my rights", a series of images that the Organization wants to be for the fight against sexual exploitation and harassment, both of women and of any individual in general.

"We should all be able to enjoy the right to make decisions about our health, our body, our sexuality and our sexual identity without fear, coercion or discrimination." said Madhu Malhorta, director of the gender and sexuality program for Amnesty International and added: "Many images are deliberately left open to interpretation. We didn't want to be too explicit and we preferred images that would encourage even the youngest to debate ".
