First date? Keep an eye on the outfit
According to a research carried out by Meetic, the largest online dating community in Italy, yes. Style and look, in fact, are considered an important criterion of choice by 96% of Italian singles, from those who immediately notice the off-season trends, to those who could not go out with someone with a style diametrically opposite to their own.
Italians, therefore, pay attention to fashion (just think of the great appeal that Milan Fashion Week has) and are convinced that, for the first date, the outfit must be casual-minded. Here are some tips based on the results of the survey:

- if you are a woman: yes to jeans, but accessorized with precious bijoux or statement jewelry
- better to give up on ballet flats and opt for a less casual shoe, not necessarily with a high heel
- for men: leave the t-shirts in the closet and opt for a classic white or blue shirt, without a tie or bow tie
A curiosity: for the first date, on average, Italians spend an amount ranging between 50 and 200 euros. Women mainly dedicate them to beauty treatments and hair care, while men prefer to spend to have the machine clean, fragrant and welcoming.
