Light make-up: 5 tips for a natural and effective make-up!

A light and delicate make-up is always an excellent ally of our beauty. Perfect for all occasions, even the most elegant and formal ones, delicate make-up is able to enhance any type of face and give it harmony and brightness in a natural way and without weighing it down in any way. In fact, if it is tailor-made, it can best emphasize our strengths, making us naturally more beautiful and luminous, all without making us fall into the unpleasant mask effect. Not only that, a light make-up is also one of the most effective beauty remedies to look That's right: contrary to what one might think, don't abuse eye shadows, foundations and lipsticks, but dose them wisely according to your personal taste, it helps us to show off a more youthful and fresh look.

The main secret to making a noteworthy light make-up is undoubtedly working on the base and making it as delicate as possible, to suggest a light and luminous effect able to give us an impeccable and radiant soap and water look. Do not let yourself be influenced by some imperfection and the obsession to cover it, concentrate rather on lightness and brightness and focus everything on your qualities, but always with sweetness and a delicate touch. And the result will be flawless!

Below, we suggest 5 tips to create a perfect light makeup to show off whenever you want, to see yourself naturally more beautiful and full of light!

1. The foundation, the real star of a light make-up

As already mentioned, the base is the fulcrum of a light and delicate make-up made with success and, as such, deserves the right attention. This is why it becomes essential to carefully choose the foundation, the true protagonist of our make-up. There are two rules to follow in these cases to get a flawless light make-up:

  • choose the right consistency, not too thick so as not to create thickness but to suggest transparency and lightness
  • Choose a color that is as close to natural as possible

Basically, the trick is to opt for a foundation that is there but not visible. In this regard, the ideal is a fluid foundation that guarantees natural coverage but that is light at the same time, able to even out the complexion, thus covering discontinuities and imperfections of the skin, without however weighing it down or suggesting an unsightly mask effect. MinéralBlend by Vichy is the right choice for us: it is a moisturizing foundation, enriched with the precious Mineralizing Thermal Water of Vichy, hyaluronic acid and mineral pigments, which allows the skin to breathe, guaranteeing it an "intense hydration, an instant" sensation of freshness and natural coverage with a hold of over 16 hours. Not only that, the mineral pigments help to even out the complexion and illuminate it, giving the skin a naturally healthier and more radiant appearance.

The MinéralBlend foundation is available in nine shades (see three below) and is suitable for all skin types. It will therefore be sufficient to choose the color that best suits us and apply it correctly to show off a textbook make-up. In fact, in addition to taking care to choose the shade closest to that of our skin, it is equally important to apply it evenly and avoid creating unsightly discolorations between the neck and face. In this way we will give our skin a delicate coverage, hydration and radiance - three fundamental aspects for a flawless and natural beauty look!

2. Create points of light

Starting with a good foundation and choosing the right foundation is already almost 70% of the work when you want to show off a light and delicate make-up. But for an even more effective effect, rely on an illuminating concealer to suggest a few touches of light here and there, able to soften the face and suggest greater harmony. Just apply it gently in the right places: under the browbone, in the inner corner of the eye, above the cheekbones and on the cupid's arch (the small groove between the lips and nose).

Here are some tips in the video below to illuminate the face and make our light makeup more radiant!

3. For a flawless light make-up, go for a nude eye make-up!

If you want to do a light make-up, you should aim for the most natural eye make-up possible. The options are different: you can not put the eyeshadow at all, and maybe use a little foundation on the eyelid, or opt for light shades of eyeshadow, such as the various shades of nudes - from beige to pink - up to shades a a little more decisive, but always natural, than dove gray and delicate brown.

If there is a certain freedom on the "eyeshadow", what is indispensable is the mascara, even more so on a light and delicate make-up like the one we want to create. In fact, mascara helps to define the look and make it more intense and deeper. Don't be afraid to overdo it: in this case, to get a flawless effect, you need to apply two or three coats and, possibly, choose a lengthening one. You can also use a thin line eyeliner, without quotes, which is a little too artificial for the result we want to achieve, or a black pencil, preferably only on the top.

To emphasize the look, rather than treading too much on eyeshadows and pencils, focus on the eyebrows: fill them, if necessary, using a pencil of your exact color; thick and natural looking eyebrows give character and intensify the look.

4. Play with some color on the lips

You also have several options for the lips. You can choose to keep the nude effect with a simple cocoa butter or a brighter transparent gloss, or opt for nude lipsticks, from a thousand shades of pink to beige, up to the more decisive shades of dove gray or light brown, preferably from the matte finish.

If you really don't want to give up color, opt for a touch of red, which is always appreciated; instead, avoid strong colors such as purple, browns and tones of rouge noir and burgundy, which are decidedly excessive and not very compatible with light makeup. Then go for classic red, coral or orange shades or nuances of fuchsia and cherry. Pick up some color from the tip of the lipstick and pat it on your lips to brighten them up naturally.

5. And then, a touch of blush!

To best close your light make-up, give yourself a final touch of blush of the color that best suits your skin: from rosy shades, to peach ones, to gold or nude beige. Guaranteed good effect!

After choosing the perfect color for you, take care to apply it with a gentle touch on the cheeks, without exaggerating and tapping gently for two or three times, and your light makeup will be so ready to conquer everyone!
