Greetings to San Daniele raw ham

This year the 27th edition of Ariadifesta will be held, a fantastic opportunity to taste the magnificent San Daniele raw ham: it is an event with guided tours and tastings in the ham factories, music and shows that will take place from 24 to 27 June in San Daniele of Friuli. A party, more than anything else, in honor of this king of taste, this year is particularly significant because 50 years have passed since the birth of the San Daniele Prosciutto Consortium which has been protecting the PDO since 1961.

In this special year, the San Daniele was paired with many types of Italian bread, one for each region, chosen from the most important and typical: a decidedly successful marriage between a slice of excellent raw ham and Turin breadsticks, or the Ferrara couple , the classic focaccia of Genoa, the Roman white pizza or the panecalabrese of Cerchiara, and so on.

Mouth-watering combinations that can be tasted during Aria di Festa, but not only: throughout 2011 and then in 2012 there will be a series of territorial road shows with stops in the various Italian regions, with dates still being defined.
