This penguin swims 8000km every year to find the man who saved his life (photo)
True friendship knows no borders, gender, race and ... species. This relationship features a 71-year-old Brazilian man, João, and a penguin named Dindim. João lives on a dream island and is mainly dedicated to fishing, his favorite hobby. In 2011, during a walk on the beach, he noticed an oil-covered penguin dying on the rocks.

The man did not think twice, he welcomed him, cleaned and fed him so that he could recover the necessary strength to go back to swimming. Nobody imagined that the two would meet again and, when a year later, João saw Dindim again. on the beach of the find, he couldn't believe his eyes.
Dindim is a migrating penguin and, whenever he can, he returns to his savior. This is a truly incredible story especially because, in most cases, penguins of this species are not at all friendly to humans: it is very likely that Dindim thinks that João is one of his!
