MammaCheBlog: when recycling is synonymous with creativity

In addition to a series of conferences on innovative topics, such as the world of female makers and photographic social networks, as well as training meetings for those who want to make creativity a profession, there will also be thematic workshops open to event participants.

In the so-called MomLabs there will be no shortage of ideas related to Christmas (which, as we know, greatly inspires crafters from all over the world), but one of the dominant themes of this 2014 edition will be the recycling. After all, in a moment of general scarce economic availability, the intelligent re-use of things becomes fundamental, perhaps even proceeding with their "upcycling". What does it mean? That an object that is no longer needed or a waste from a manufacturing process can, thanks to creativity and imagination, become something useful, beautiful and unique.

This is the case of the "tube vessels"Proposed by Francesco Giorgi, teacher of gardening and social horticulture, who will teach mothers to create imaginative containers for cut flowers from water pipes, shower hoses, corrugated vacuum cleaners or sheaths for electrical systems.

And it is always for the same concept, that even the old worn sweater, but still very warm, will not end up in the waste bag, it will become a "scarves & scarves", Thanks to the tips of the most famous Italian crafter, Gaia Segattini, which will guide mothers in every phase of the realization of this fun project. Also make a paper pattern from a piece of clothing that is very dear to us (but that no longer fits or is too worn) is a clever way to reuse old fabrics and scraps, learning the art of sewing. Sara Michela Cappa to hold the "Creative sewing for everyone" workshop, thanks to her experience in the Colpo d’Occhio space, which she manages in Milan.
