Nelson Mandela's will was opened and read. The South African leader, who died in Johannesburg on December 5, seems to have set aside a fortune of 46 million rand, which is equivalent to 3 million euros. So that "treasure", which many hoped to find and for which the heirs of the Nobel Prize have been battling in recent weeks, would actually be a relatively "small" figure, even if the amount does not include royalties and assets of the family "trusts", therefore the actual total would still be verified.
aD anyway half of the estate will go to his last wife, Grace Machel, while the rest will be divided between his party and some educational institutions. To be precise, the African National Congress will go to an amount that will be used for its reconciliation activities and to spread the party tradition; while the donations to the schools will be around 700 euros each and there will also be a figure for scholarships that will go to the children of Qunu, Mandela's native village, where he was also buried.
