In addition to the dishes described above, you can introduce veal fillet, chicken leg, Hamburger cockerel, sea bass or swordfish for lunch or dinner: obviously all without salt. While as regards pasta - which guarantees the adequate intake of carbohydrates and which is to be reserved exclusively for breakfast - you can range with the following variants: spaghetti with tuna and lemon, penne with walnuts or with peppers and rocket.

Lemme diet: the menu of the second phase

The second phase of the Lemme diet - the maintenance phase - must be followed for about three months and allows the inclusion of previously prohibited foods, first of all vegetables and fruit. In this second phase, however, the model that foresees pasta for breakfast is maintained, but this can be alternated with eggs, cheeses, yoghurt and fruit. In addition, other foods such as cheese and bresaola can be added progressively, and even after about a month even ice cream, to be consumed preferably in the morning. Unfortunately, even in this second phase of Dr. Lemme's diet, salt is strictly prohibited.

  • Yogurt + bran + green apple
  • Yogurt + blueberries + strawberries + avocado + blackberries + currants + yellow grapefruit + lemon

Lemme diet: famous and delicious recipes to vary with taste

As far as breakfast is concerned, and therefore to ensure the intake of carbohydrates, in addition to the classic example of spaghetti with oil and chilli pepper - a typical dish of the Lemme diet - you can experiment with other tasty variations. Here are two:

Spaghetti with tuna and lemon
Make a little sauté with oil, garlic and chilli; in another pot, chop the parsley, then grate the lemon zest and add the drained tuna. Add the mixture to the sauté and brown a little, once the spaghetti is cooked, pour and season everything.

Penne with artichokes
Brown the artichokes with a little oil and garlic, if you like, add a pinch of chilli and toasted almonds, and after cooking the penne, add to the sauce obtained.

Here are some proposals for dishes with meat and fish, suitable for the menu of the Lemme diet for lunch and dinner.

Turkey Tonnato
Cook the turkey with 4 diced spring onions, then take some capers in vinegar and 320 g of tuna in oil that you are going to peek at. Add both to the turkey, add 1 ladle of boiling water, cover and continue cooking over very low heat for about 35 minutes.
Then blend the cooking juices with a little marjoram and parsley, and if you like, also with pepper. Then pour the mixture on your turkey and let it cool.

Catalan grouper
Cut the onion into slices and the peppers like a banner, fry, add a little parsley, pepper and oil, and then pour it all over the grouper, which you can cut into cubes to facilitate the seasoning and make it tastier.

Tuna fillet with sesame
Cook the sesame in a non-stick pan, before cooking the tuna fillet, pass it on both sides in the sesame and then let it simmer in a pan with a little oil. Then prepare a mustard-based sauce, that you are going to pour on the fillet a face ready and cut into thick slices: just cut the chives into small pieces, add two tablespoons of oil, a pinch of salt and add the mustard and balsamic vinegar.
