What do women expect from new products?
What are the expectations of women towards innovation and new products? IRI, a specialist in the field of market surveys relating to consumption, carried out a study on this subject for the ninth edition of the Elected Product of the Year Award and found that the Italian consumers interviewed - despite the crisis and its consequences - are positively open to the novelties proposed by companies (86% declare themselves willing to try new products) and, indeed, a good 48% believe that there are not enough new products on the market.
But what do Italian women expect from the novelties proposed by companies? First of all, that these offer quality at the right price (59%), secondly that they are in line with the "eco-sustainability" trend (42%) and finally that they simplify life (32%). Interestingly, further down the rankings, a significant 12%, expect the new products to save time and have practical and functional packaging.
