Alan Rickman is dead: goodbye to the actor who played Severus Snape in the Harry Potter saga
The English actor and director Alan Rickman, known to most for his interpretation of Severus Snape in the saga of the famous Harry Potter wizard, passed away at the age of 69.
The English interpreter died yesterday, January 13, due to cancer, as the family announced in an official statement. Beloved for the role of Snape, to which Rickman owes his popularity, Rickman's career is actually studded with blockbusters, including Reason and sentiment, Love Actually And Robin Hood, which also earned him a Bafta.
He was married to political activist Rima Horton, met in 1956, and married only in 2012 after 35 years of living together.
