How to / Yellow is the trendiest color of the moment: makeup ideas and tips
curated by Alyssa Viola
Yellow is the solar color par excellence, it is vitamin, energizing, puts you in a good mood, and a touch of it is enough to light up a sober, business-style outfit, all played on black & white. If you want to try it in a makeup version, the result will be very cheerful and unusual.
Here's how to proceed, with some small rules for a flawless effect.

The preliminary stage
Yellow is to be limited to the eyelids. Forget it, assuming we find them, lipsticks or glosses. Choose a matte, powder or cream eyeshadow, with a matte finish and in any case not too sparkling, so as not to create an excessive effect.
Pick up very little powder at a time and start applying the color to the outside of the eye, where you want the nuance to end, proceeding inwards. In this way you do not risk the "stain" effect and the result will be precise and defined.
As an alternative to eyeshadow, if you just want a hint of color, a thin line of yellow eyeliner is perfect, in order to create a sharper and more geometric graphics.
To define
We complete the eye makeup with black mascara and, for those who wish, a thin line of anthracite pencil along the lash line, to give more definition to the look.
If, on the other hand, we used colored eyeliner, we can give intensity to the look by applying the anthracite gray eyeshadow in the eyelid crease, blending it well towards the eyebrows.
Face, lips and nails
On the cheeks, very little blush, in a discreet peach tone. The eyes remain the undisputed protagonists, so we leave the rest of the make-up natural.
On the lips, therefore, a flesh-colored or pinkish beige lipstick is perfect, or in the very current Marsala, however warm, never cold pink, so as not to create a contrast with the warm tone of yellow. The younger ones can limit themselves to a touch of transparent gloss, to illuminate the lips in transparency.
Yellow is fun on the nails too, but it's best to limit it to your feet if you're no longer a teenager. For those who love color-blocking, that is, the chromatic combination that combines different colors, purple, orange, anthracite gray and above all black will be perfect.
The final touch
If you really love yellow, now there is also the perfume: it has an unmistakable packaging and contains notes of bergamot, mandarin, peach and honey for a joyful and gourmand olfactory pyramid.
