Children born in autumn at risk of asthma
Children born in autumn are more likely than others to be struck by respiratory infections and suffering from diseases such as "bronchial asthma. This is underlined by an article published by the specialized journal" PLoS ONE ", which reports a study by the Yuanpei University at Hsinchu in Taiwan. The research team led by Wei-Pin Chang examined a sample of 104,455 babies and found that the climatic factors related to this season and the cold, sometimes severe, in which infants find themselves living their first months of life increase the incidence of this type of disorder. It is therefore necessary the utmost attention from parents, but also from pediatricians.
