We do not tolerate hate speech about women, primarily to uphold the values we stand for.
Banning these messages means protecting our readers from offensive comments and from those who can't wait to express a gratuitous nastiness. Ensuring goodwill in our articles, but also sub-posts of our articles published on Facebook, for example, is essential. Because if behind every screen there is someone who comments on the posts, others will read them. As internet users, we know what we are writing, but we don't always know who we are addressing. A simple insult can hurt many people, especially the most vulnerable. For alfemminile we therefore refuse to be a platform that encourages hate messages or the spread of fake news.

Of course, we support constructive discussions and interactions in which you confront each other. The issues we face on alfemminile are important to us: they are current and inclusive. This is why we want you to react, discuss and express your feelings and opinions about the world around us. In our opinion it is important to allow you to comment on our posts because it can be an "opportunity for you, as a reader, to provide more information or a different point of view. We are open to criticism, but only if it is well argued and constructive.

Let's say NO to hate!
We attach particular importance to freedom of expression. But there is a difference between a debate and an insult. That is why we refuse to be a source of distorted news and offenses. If words are offensive, they are forbidden. We refuse to remain silent. To do so would mean complicity in hateful comments. It would trivialize verbal abuse, contributing to it in some way.
If we delete a comment, take a stand against it, we are more active than ever in the face of this scourge.
