#MeToo: the campaign that says NO to harassment and YES to female solidarity
Following the recent events involving the Italian Asia Argento and many other Hollywood actresses who were victims of sexual harassment by the producer Harvey Weinstein, the American actress Alyssa Milano expressed her opinion which was immediately shared by thousands of users.

Tired of the reactions and comments lacking in sensitivity and intelligence that appeared in response to cases such as that of Harvey Weinstein - a Hollywood producer accused of sexually abusing dozens of actresses -, Alyssa Milano, who will surely know very well the world of entertainment and its more or less shady dynamics, he decided to take a position using his Twitter account.
The actress took sides very clearly on the side of her colleagues and of all the women who, finally, found the strength to denounce the violence suffered and the people who are responsible for it.

With this tweet, the actress invites women to share the hashtag and publicly denounce the abuses suffered, so that the authors come into the open and other women victims of similar events find the courage to talk about it and face them.
The friend who inspired Alyssa is probably Rose McGowan, who starred with her in the hugely popular series Witches, himself a victim of Harvey Weinstein's harassment.
It is time for the perpetrators of the violence to take responsibility for their actions and pay the consequences; it is time to fight together to put an end to the abuses of all kinds, physical or psychological, which so far so many women have been forced to endure in circumstances of all kinds, including work.
The problem is much more widespread than we think and it is time for all women, and all their companions, husbands and families, to become aware of it and give it the right importance.

The campaign promoted by the actress was also welcomed and spread by many other stars, including Lady Gaga.
