The personalized greeting card is a very personal idea that Mom is sure to love!
It is a chore that we recommend you do with children who are already in school: they already know how to handle all the materials and accessories for cutting, writing and decorating.

What will you need to make it happen?

colored cards 50x18cm
glue
pliers
round tip scissors
colored ribbon
paper punch

Preparation

1. Take the first sheet and place it vertically. Shape it into an envelope, i.e. fold it into three parts.
2. Raise the lower wing towards the center and then the upper one towards the middle.
3. Turn the sheet horizontally so that the two folded parts meet in the center.
4. With the pliers, make two holes more or less at a central height: one at each end of the two edges.
5. Take another card (better green because you are going to make the flower stem) and cut out 4 or 5 strips about 7-8cm high. Using the glue stick, attach the flower stems to the inside of the card.
6. Cut out a rectangle on a white sheet, smaller than the inside of the card, and glue it (you can also stick it partly on top of the stems).
7. Cut out some colored flowers from the remaining cards; then take them with tweezers and glue them to the outer end of the stems.
8. Complete your Mother's Day greeting card with a pen or fine-tipped marker by writing a loving message.
9. Finally, close the two windows and slip a colored ribbon into the two holes you made earlier. The result is an original and colorful bunch of flowers that sprouts from your greeting message.

Fabric bouquet

For children who want to try their hand at a beautiful personalized bouquet, here's how!

What will you need?

fabric of two or more patterns
buttons
glass
marker
scissors
hot glue

Preparation

1. Place the glass on the back of the fabric and with a marker go to create 5 circles. Cut them out: take the first circle and cut it in half. Then put a bit of hot glue in the middle of the circle folded in half and close again.
2. Put another bit of glue on one side, fold it slightly and turn the petal. Repeat this until the wide part of the petal is completely folded.
3. When you have obtained at least 5 petals then start creating your flower! Combine them all with hot glue.
4. Take the button and with the fabric of a different pattern go to create a square. Cut the edges of this square and glue the button inside, covering it completely. Glue the button in the center of the flower you created just before.
5. Repeat the steps to create other flowers and thus compose the bouquet for Mom.

Now you can insert your handmade flowers in some transparent paper to give the idea of a real bouquet or you can insert them in a terracotta jar, for an even more realistic effect!

Preparation

1. Begin to select the basic material, the pasta: the ditalini rigati are an excellent choice for the format; alternatively, the mezze penne, tortiglioni, celery, macaroni and any other tubular format are also good.
2. Continue coloring the raw pasta. Do you know how to dye it naturally and quickly? Buy some food coloring and take some plastic bags with airtight closure (those from Ikea are fine). Decide which colors you want to use and pour a few drops inside the bags: one color for each bag and a few drops (4-5) . Then insert the pasta into the different bags: shake until the color has spread over the pasta too .. in this step you can really involve the little one of the house; it will be an "activity that he will surely enjoy doing!
3. After about 2 minutes, open the bag and check the color; if you like the shade, roll out the dough on a sheet of baking paper and put it in the oven at 100 ° for about 30 minutes (if you have time you can also let it dry in the sun for about 12 hours).
4. Now that your pasta is much nicer than before, help the child draw the perimeter of a frame on a white sheet of paper with a pencil.
5. Pass the glue and stick the dough, one piece next to the other! Your frame is ready.

Method
