Greta Thunberg "raped" by an oil company
Greta held for her unmistakable braids, while suffering violence from a man. This is the illustration chosen by X-Site, a well-known Canadian oil company, for the creation of a new company logo. A shameful image that, fortunately, has been around the world, generating general indignation and consequent removal.
A shameful promotional campaign
The complaint came from Michelle Narang, employed for years in the field of fossil fuels, who, shocked by the incident, demanded explanations from Doug Sparrow, general manager of X-Site. Although the incitement to rape is obvious, the man defended himself, arguing that "Greta is no longer a child: she is 17". Well, then it's a whole other story, after the age of 17, you know, abuses are legitimate.
The stickers, to be applied on the workers' helmets, were created on the occasion of a promotional campaign for which it would be worth firing the entire marketing department. Fortunately, social networks, taken in their best sense, denounced the shock initiative, forcing the oil company to withdraw and permanently destroy the stickers. Despite this, there is no legal offense of child pornography, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Greta's commendable response
Greta, for her part, did not remain impassive and, via twitter, sent a clear and concise reply, which, despite her young age, denotes a level of maturity far superior to that of some misogynistic homunculi. “They are starting to get more and more desperate. This only shows that we are winning ”.
It is clear, then, that it will take much more to stop Greta's crusade against climate change. Unfortunately, it is not the first time that the young activist has suffered ferocious attacks from her detractors. Bullying, declined in all its despicable forms, is an enemy against which Greta had to start fighting very early, even before the environmental crisis. Despite this, her tenacity and, above all, her courage, earned her the nomination of "Person of the Year" by Time.
