Giuliano Gemma died last night, October 1, at the age of seventy-five due to a serious road accident in Cervetri, in the province of Rome.
The actor, born in 1938, became famous in the 1960s thanks to his performance in the film The Leopard, where Luchino Visconti joins him with Alain Delon, Mario Girotti and Terence Hill. But the real consecration takes place in the following years when he becomes the protagonist face of the spaghetti western trend by Duccio Tessari, among whose films we remember A gun for Ringo. Her face and name are also linked to the figure of the legendary comic book hero Tex Willer, whom Gemma successfully brings to the cinema.
From the nineties to today, Giuliano Gemma has worked mainly as a fictional actor and has collected prestigious awards including the David di Donatello, the Globo d "Oro, the Nastro D" Argento and the De Sica Award, the latter for three times.
The actor was married to the journalist Baba Richerme and has two daughters, Giuliana and Vera, from a previous marriage.
