Cancer-stricken Beth shows herself naked on Facebook and loses 100 friends
He just wanted to point out the importance of cancer prevention, and instead he garnered a lot of criticism and lost 100 friends on Facebook. It happened to Beth Whaanga, a 32-year-old British woman who was struck by breast cancer last year and decided to show her naked body, marked by operations, on the social network (watch the video here).

In order not to give up and invite other women to prevent this evil, she started the project "Under the red dress", a series of photos in which she first wears a red dress and then reveals her naked breasts.

What Beth may not have expected was the large number of negative comments from her Facebook contacts where she posted the images. Many have in fact considered the gesture as an exhibitionist, or have been struck by certainly very strong images. Some users have even reported the photos as inappropriate content to the social network manager. "My intention was only to raise awareness among women on the subject," Beth al Daily Mail, "the images had no sexual intent."

Beth, however, reported a victory, much more than consoling, after losing at least 100 contacts on Facebook of indignant or frightened people: the social network has not removed the photos despite the reports. "Ignorance is never a good option", relaunches the woman, "now we are looking for other women operated on for cancer, willing to show what's under the red dress".
