The PlayStation turns 25: do you remember it?
It was December 3, 1994 when the innovative console from Sony was launched, the first to be able to read CDs and with a much better sound than the previous consoles. With an elegant design and an announced iconic appearance.
The first PlayStation sold 102 million pieces in the first 5 years alone.
A real success that turns 25 today.
How nostalgically do we remember the afternoons spent playing Crash Bandicoot or Tomb Raider.
The first FIFA, Granturismo, Resident Evil and all the original Disney cartoon games. And the precious memory cards that collected our games, allowing us to resume from the exact point where we left off.
How many hours spent in religious silence with brothers and friends (but also parents!) Waiting for our turn to play and how much envy for our companions who had one!
Since that December 3 years have passed and 5 fixed versions (1, 2, One, 3 and 4) and two mobile versions (Portable and Vita) covering the fifth to eighth generation of video game consoles.
Apparently Sony is preparing a PlayStation 5 that will be released in 2021. Gamers all over the world are shaking!
In the meantime, if you are one of the lucky ones who still own this precious heirloom, play Tekken and celebrate this birthday with a smile!
