Instead of the usual perfect model, the magazine wanted to put on the cover the face of Turia Pitt, an Australian girl who survived a devastating fire in 2011, from which she reported numerous scars on her face and body.

Indeed, his story can only leave you speechless. Turia, an engineering graduate, has always been a sports fan and in 2011 took part in a 100km ultra marathon in Western Australia. During the race, all the participants encountered a devastating forest fire, from which they could only be saved at the last second. Despite the rescue, Turia suffered severe burns on 65% of her body, in fact the doctors did not have much hope for the rescue. its survival.
But Turia fought to get her life back! Now she works as a personal motivator and author, and has also become active again in sport. In the past six months, he has cycle through half of Australia (from Sydney to Ayers Rock), swam a 20km race and walked the Great Wall of China. All for a good cause: Turia supports the "Interplast" organization, which carries out reconstruction surgeries in developing countries.
