How many times have you looked in the mirror and didn't like yourself? How many times have you wanted to have another physique? You are not alone. Taryn Brumfitt, a young Australian mom, struggled with her appearance for some time, but eventually managed to accept herself and do something for others as well. Taryn, in fact, has launched the "Embrace" campaign which wants to encourage women to become more self-confident and give them the strength to feel comfortable in their skin.

Like so many women, Taryns has never felt completely comfortable looking in the mirror: she has always seen herself fat and ugly.

Seeing herself reflected in the mirror had now become a nightmare, slowly she had become an enemy of herself.

Taryns, convinced that she feels better in a slim and athletic body, decides to change and throws herself body and soul into sport. Obviously the results were not long in coming.

Sport and hard training not only gave her an athletic body, but made her a true bodybuilding champion. Her body was the envy of her friends, but something was wrong with Taryns' new appearance.

"Nothing had changed." Despite the hours of training, despite an athletic, lean and healthy physique, Taryns continued to feel uncomfortable in front of the mirror. Her body did not reflect her, she was neither thin nor athletic nor beautiful.

Awareness

Suddenly Taryn realizes that to accept herself, a woman doesn't have to look in the mirror, but love for her body starts from the head. No matter how much you weigh or what shape your body is, you have to love yourself as you are.

Her daughter was one of the reasons that pushed her to accept herself as she is, without chasing stereotypes or fixed canons. "How can I teach my daughter to love her body and be aware of herself when I am the first not to?"

The woman has posted a photo on the internet that portrays her before and after her awareness: previously a statuesque body and then a heavier one with a few too many rolls. The message: you can love your body, even if it's not "perfect"!

The reaction of so many women to Taryn's "before and after" photography was astonishing. In her they saw the courage of a woman who is not afraid to show herself even with her imperfections and who loves herself even in her "after"!

Taryn wants to change the world

Thanks to the reactions of the network, Taryn understood that she can help women to undertake the same path of acceptance as her. For this he launched the "Embrace" campaign, a real one hug to life

"Women are increasingly convinced that their appearance is never up to par. Every day we feel judged by our appearance and how far this is from stereotyped and unrealistic aesthetic canons. Reduce wrinkles, fight cellulite, lose weight: every day they convince us to fight against our body and then become someone different "

"The excessive use of Photoshop, the sexualization of women in the media and advertising. Women's insecurity is shamelessly exploited and for this reason we should not be surprised to live in a society where women are ashamed of their bodies ".

"Everyone is beautiful!" is the message that Taryn wants to spread, a strong and courageous woman. This is only the beginning of a long journey, but the hope that more and more women will be able to find the courage to raise their heads and accept their bodies as they are: beautiful and natural!
