Valentine's Day as a single… it's not that bad!
For those who do not like these meeting opportunities, there are always wonderful weekends at the Spa, poignant films, hotels for singles, romantic books and lots of chocolate, for all the others there is only the embarrassment of choice. Ikea organizes in its Ancona store a dinner completely dedicated to singles, with aphrodisiac menu and reservations required (www.ikea.it/parma). In Milan, Eat's Bistrò offers a candlelit dinner for singles and groups of friends who want to get to know and have fun, in the name of conviviality and good food (for information: [email protected]).
The guru site on the subject (www.speeddate.it) invites Milan and Rome to the Lock Date Party: a dinner where at the beginning of the evening the girls are given a combination lock and the boys a code, to challenge fate and have fun together . There is also the quieter alternative to the Speed Date Dinner and for traditionalists the Speed Date Classico in Venice, Genoa, Milano Marittima, Bologna and Salerno.
Why not celebrate the day after too, given that San Faustino is the recurrence of singles? The Vita da Single site (www.vitadasingle.net) organizes parties in Turin, Milan and Rome, while on City Single (www.citysingle.it) there is only a choice between parties, trips and a thousand other opportunities to find the soul mate or just make new friends.
