Parental leave
Who can benefit from it?
Both natural parents, employees, for a total period, continuous or split, of 10 months. Parents of a handicapped child can ask for up to 3 years.
When?
Parental leave can be taken at any time, up to the child's eighth birthday.
Like?
It is necessary to inform the employer at least 15 days before the start of the leave itself.
Salary
During parental leave, the first six months are paid with an allowance equal to 30% of the salary, while the remaining 4 months are unpaid. In addition, for the first 30 days of absence, full pay is due.
At the end of the leave
The employee finds his job with the same salary or a similar job. If he doesn't want to start working again, he has to respect the notice of resignation.
