The girl of the week is Elodie: from public housing in Sanremo
Andromeda, a fragile beauty. Elodie, a tenacious marvel. Andromeda, at the mercy of the waves, is saved by Perseus. Elodie, at the mercy of events, saved herself. In Sanremo it was a revelation, not only for its charm halfway between the exotic and the androgynous, wisely enhanced by skimpy and, at the same time, elegant clothes, but also, and above all, for the passion with which it has starring “Andromeda”, the single written for her by friends Mahmood and Dardust. A difficult piece, but she loves challenges, she loves to face them, overcome them and say to herself "you did it again this time".
"This is Elodie" marks his turning point
Elodie has grown up, she is no longer the pink-haired girl who has just left Amici and this is now clear to everyone. You can guess it from the way in which he conquers the stage, he does it his own, combining a hypnotic voice with studied movements. But it took some time to get here. Elodie had to face a path to understand who she really is and, above all, how to express it best.
Her latest album, "This is Elodie", has just been released, which, for her, is a bit like her first. The singer thought, studied and understood how to free herself from the prejudices that people had sewn on her. She is not a songwriter. He doesn't write his songs. Sing light songs. Nothing could be more wrong and today Elodie is here to prove it to us, indeed, she has already proved it to us. The artist has finally found a style that is only his own, intimate and personal, with which to tell all the phases of his story.

Elodie speaks for the first time of her origins, which she had never dwelled upon not out of shame, but to avoid commiseration. Born and raised in Quartaccio, a suburb of Rome, where she lives in public housing, or rather, houses built "with a little less love". Street musician dad and cubist mom. She and her younger sister grow up alone, in disarray, without any rules. Then, at the age of 19, Elodie packs her bags and leaves for Salento and there she finds herself doing the same job as her mother, the same job against which she had prejudices that she then had to revise. She is a bit forced, as she likes to call herself, and she didn't mind breaking hands and telephones to anyone who disrespected her. The sense of discipline, then, she only learns once she enters Amici, where Maria De Filippi is her mother, to whom she will never stop being grateful.
Elodie and Marracash, the king and the queen
Today many know her as the girl of Marra (Marracash), but she, first of all, is Elodie. Even if, after all, she takes a certain pride in being approached to her name. He the King of rap, she the Queen of pop. Both grew up in public housing. Milan him, Rome her. Maybe it was meant to be that they should meet. Fabio is the first man with whom she is able to express herself, without the need for further explanations. A bit like it happens with music.
Elodie is here to stay
Growing up disillusioned, she was able to build and carry out a life project on her own. A self-made girl who has embraced the saying “what doesn't kill makes you stronger”. She loves to play and have fun, for her life should not be taken too seriously and this, perhaps, is the secret to living well, what we should all learn. This is Elodie. A star is born, but it is not a meteor.
